Equine massage

Sam Curnick is trained to assess and treat a wide range of conditions affecting the horse's body, such as injuries, strain, and imbalances. She works to improve the overall health, comfort, and mobility of horses. By applying various methods, such as massage, stretching, and joint mobilisation, to alleviate pain, promote relaxation, and enhance performance.

Benefits

By working with Sam, horse owners can expect to see the following benefits:

  • Improved flexibility, mobility, and athletic ability for the horse

  • A more relaxed and pain-free gait for the horse

  • Maintenance and improvement of the horse's physical condition

  • A higher quality of life for the horse

  • Improved performance

The treatment

A typical treatment consists of Sam watching the horse moving, in both walk and trot. Discussing with the owner about previous history, any relevant injuries, daily workload, routine, and if the horse has regular visits from other professionals such as saddle fitter, dentist, farrier. After this initial background information has been given then the full body treatment, focusing on the problem areas, with stretches is carried out. Suggested groundwork and ridden exercises to support ongoing muscle development between recommended treatment sessions are given. These exercises help maintain and enhance the benefits of the therapy.

Aftercare

We recommend a treatment every three months for a maintenance program to keep your horse in top condition. After the initial treatment has been carried out a tailored treatment plan can be arranged for horses that need regular visits for specific, problem areas.
